wintons-tees: We all know just how important important of a band Black Flag was. They basically defined hardcore punk in the early days. But hardcore wasn’t the only thing they influenced… the 2nd side of their record “My War” basically spawned an entire new genre of music: sludge metal. Eyehategod is arguably the definitive sludge band, and here they give credit where credit is due. My War, side two. This shirt is now officially one of my favorites. I very recently acquired it in a trade with a fellow from Germany, super nice guy; sent off my Mental “Animal House” rip shirt and the Harm’s Way United Blood design to get this, but it was 100% worth it. It’s a simple and good-looking design. They use their own logo instead of ripping off the Flag logo, although they use the bars. I am really curious as to how old this shirt is. It seems pretty new. It may be hard to tell from the picture, but the print is actually in a kind of shiny silver ink. It’s printed on a Gildan Activewear shirt, size medium. EHG definitely didn’t have this shirt with them when I saw them back in January, but it still could be a recent reprint of an older design or something. I oughta message my new German pal and see where he first got this bad boy! One day I’d like this shirt to be in my possession for all the reasons stated above. That and Eyehategod is awesome.
